About us
Andrea is South African born with many years experience both as a presenter and producer. After moving to the UK, she joined Broadcasting and Presentation at BBC Television before working for the World Service. Her work as a producer and presenter has taken her all over the globe from Poland to Dubai, Nigeria to India – chasing interviews with people as diverse as hip hop stars, political activists and women miners. Andrea saw a need in the market for a fresh approach to programme-making, created by a team of innovative youthful producers, and gave up her continuing contract at the BBC to start Like It Is in 2005.
After graduating from Goldsmith's in 2006, Neil joined the BBC World Service, working on live discussion programmes such as Africa Have Your Say, Network Africa

as well as producing for BBC 1Xtra. A woman with a thousand great ideas, Krishna

Gemma began her career at the BBC producing for several Arts programmes. Happy behind the mic or behind the mixing desk, Gemma’s passion is giving others the skills to get their voices heard. She has trained numerous producers and has made programmes on issues from human rights to peace-building; health to youth concerns. Her documentary “Who am I?” which explored her own background, helped put Like It Is on the indie map, and since then be it Afghanistan or Acton, Gemma can be found mic in hand gathering audio and insights for the company. She is a founding member of the Like It Is team.
